Not Lodge. Their handle styles were all over the place, but that was never one of them. Likely an unknown US maker or import who copied the notches and whose country of origin was on the packaging or label.

Yes Doug, saw the same thing as far as the handle. When I flipped it over top up the handle looks almost like a BSR. Wow... Didn't know, interesting. Might just throw it in the trash lol. Barely paid anything for it anyway.

Halfway through e tank. Looks a lighter color than what I normally get.

Don't toss it. My suggestion finish cleaning and seasoning it then pass it on as a wedding gift. Just because it isn't a collectable doesn't mean that it isn't a good user.

Doesn't appear to be. Looks like electro has gotten the majority down to grey iron with some stubborn carbon left. If plated, the expectation would be the worn areas would be primarily the entire cooking surface and partially up the sidewalls.

It may, it's much lighter in color than anything else I've etanked. Looks almost like aluminum. Would chrome mean anything?

Maybe not Chrome. Doug said it maybe from another country. Maybe a different mixture of metal. Looks very much like aluminum, but weighs more.

Do you think it's safe metal to eat out of? If so what is your hunch or knowledge on age? Debating on gifting it, even though it's not worth much. Might resurface the cooking surface for them first.

I don't think it would be a concern. The small pour spouts, handle style and distinct reinforced rim all say automated molding. Probably 1960s at the earliest.
