John A Talbot, Cassopolis, MI Foundry?

I have a French roll pan with 2 rows of 6 individual half-barrel shaped forms. Between the two rows is a 1” wide “pocket” with “JOHN.A.TALBOT.CASSOPOLIS.MICH” cast within it. There are two small tabs for handles at each end of the pocket, and gate marks behind the fifth and seventh roll forms.

Does anyone have any history or background on this piece? It was given to me by my wife’s grandmother, who came to Michigan circa 1944. It may have been her mother’s originally.

This is the only website that has anything approximating the foundry, although it is misspelled as “J.A.Talbo” in the castironcollector.com foundry list.

I’ll try to upload a photo, but I have to reduce the photo file size.
