Tecumseh cast iron? Any info?

Hey gang, I've run across a couple of Tecumseh pieces the last few months and have asked about them, but no one seems to know anything about them. I checked the database here and didn't see anything. I checked online and didn't see much there either.

Anyone know anything about this brand of cast iron? Thanks.

Actually, disregard. If you do a web search, it comes right back to here on the forum where Doug is addressing the issue. Tecumseh seems to be a bit of an enigma. Tough nut to crack and get info on.

Next one I run across, I'm getting. Especially if it has ghost marks.

I was looking at ebay and ran across this listing. If you look at the end of the box it says Tecumseh, MI and a patent date. I was thinking since Griswold made mail boxes maybe Century post made skillets? :icon_scratchchin:

I too have run into the same problem. I have a #10 skillet and have seen scotch bowls and various other skillets (#7 & #8). Of the few pieces I've seen, many have Erie ghost marks. I saw a Wapak skillet with a Tecumseh ghost as well. Best info I've ever found possibly places the foundry out of someplace in Michigan. Please let me know if you stumble across any additional info. Regardless, they are nice pans and I pick them up whenever I can.
