A Couple of Recent 'saves'

these were both pretty rusty when I picked them up... but they were marked and I felt like it was worth the effort to get them back into shape.

Griswold's Erie #8 flat bottom kettle... it's a shame about the pitting in the inside bottom of this one... I don't see a lot of items in this 'in between' logo style... between the Erie markings and the slant logos...

And a nice little Favorite Piqua Ware marked #11 (new england style) french roll pan... I know it's a fairly common pan... but again, I don't see many marked Favorite gem pans... this one was also very rusty... and does have some pitting on the outside in one section and a little on the inside.

any thoughts on the #2 marking on the one end? pattern identifier?

Off topic, I like that Iron Mountain chicken fryer.

yeah, the table has 'recent' pieces that haven't found a storage place yet... so currently there are the iron mountain chicken pan and lid (I had the lid for a couple of years and recently got the chicken pan at an auction)... the CHF deep hammered skillet and lid (not sure I will ever put that one away... love the hammered finish on those)... a large block smooth bottom 10 and 6 both with low fully marked lids... the six lid I've had for a while but pulled it out to sit with the 10 that I just got a few weeks ago and cleaned up... and then there's a smooth bottom #8 slant logo sitting there as well.

Did you post picks of the hammered in the background? Those look nice too! The Griswold's Erie is cool. :)

I think I did... there was a story to it... they are both CHF with the deep hammered finish... I found the skillet for $15 and loved they way it cleaned up... then a few weeks later stumbled across the lid (sitting on a badly pitted asian dutch oven) in a little shop that I've never been in before... the lid is probably for a chicken fryer... but it fits the skillet and they look good together.
