Wagner Hotel Waffle Iron, Griswold #11, Victor 723

I picked up this little stack of cast iron yesterday, including a couple of nice pieces. The Wagner twin waffle iron is my first. I have had the Griswold hotel waffle iron though. My favorite piece might be the Griswold LBL #11 skillet though. I rarely come across #11s of any kind. I think this is only my 4th. The Victor is a #9, p/n 723. I have the matching #8.

I really like the LBL #11.....ill probably never find one, but im always looking.....I have a fully marked Victor...its the same pattern number as yours, just with more writing....I didnt know that.

Great pieces there!

Were they from a collector or someone that just had them? I am a story guy, I always like the story behind how people found them, why they had them, etc. Makes it a living, breathing experience.

I have a fully marked Victor 8 in the lye right now. Nice pans. I also have that 6 both with and without the heat ring I got from my last haul.

Lastly, the waffle iron is really what I want. I need a double/hotel Griswold. I don't want to pay for it, but I doubt I will ever find out. With two growing boys, I can't pump out the waffle fast enough on my high base Griswold 8!

MikeC, They were in the house of an old friend of a friend. I had a Griswold Hotel waffle iron at one time, but couldn't resist selling it, since I wasn't going to use it. I'll restore this one in the spring, then decide what I'm going to do with it. I probably have around 150 pieces stacked up waiting for warmer weather. I don't run my tanks in the winter.
