European Cast Iron

I will add pictures soon, but I picked up two cast iron pots that I believe are European.

One has "24.BF.4L" marked on it. This pot is smaller than the other and has a marker's mark on the bottom which is about as small as a dime, but hard to see.

I have another that is larger. It has a bossed marker's mark on the side with a "28 / 7.5 L" that is in bossed script as well.

The marker's mark on the larger one looks like a shield with either two letters or a flower.

I am having a very hard time finding ways to identify these pans. The walls are thinner than vintage Lodge, and the cast items were finished smooth.

Sorry, the pictures of the two pots are mixed up.

They are sturdy. The larger pot has a heavy bottom, and in both there was some pitting. They ring clear so I know the pieces do not have cracks.

What I wonder is where they were made, and how old they are. The one with larger handles, the smaller pot, feels light for its size.

I think its an Import piece....due to the ML. and such.....but European is imported too, so I have no clue actually.
