Time to fire up the e-tank, it has been dormant since the fireplace came out. I'll post more pictures when I get it done.
Looks like the inside is all you really need to deal with. You could do a reverse set up. Fill it with electrolyte, hang the anode from a non-conductive crossbar. Clip the negative to that assist ring or bale attachment and the positive to the anode. Should be more efficient, too.
I was considering that option, I'll probably give it a try since I don't have anything else to put in the big tank at the moment.
