ID Help, No Notch Lodge?

I picked up this no 8 which I thought may be a no notch Lodge, but the handle looks slightly different than the pictures I'm seeing online. Any ideas? Otherwise has all the characteristics with an inset heat ring, raised molders mark at 6'oclock, and raised size on handle.

Looks like a Southern Mystery Skillet (SMS) to me. I have 6 of them some with gate marks. 3 with large poor spouts which made me think they were unmarked Lodge also and 3 with small spouts. Mine are great cookers. I come across these frequently here in NC.

Just my opinion.

Spouts are a little large for SMS and I don't see a handle reinforcement pad. The handle seems a little unusual for Lodge, but then their handle style was not exactly consistent.

FYI, here is the one I have. Note, the bottom of the handle is different from yours. I think the bottom of the handle on my pan is more "lodge like". Yet, who really knows?

Also, in early 2018, I asked Lodge whether the skillet was a Lodge and got an affirmative. However, seems like someone else from this forum made an inquiry of Lodge a few months ago (different Pan) and was referred to The Cast Iron Collector. Go figure.

I'll go with Doug.

No machining on the bottom. Molder probably inadvertently made a scratch mark in the mold surface, leading to a raised line on the pan.
