Usefullness of Non-collectables

I recently was given a 10 piece collection of non-collectable cast iron, made in China, a Morrone set. I wouldn't mind using seasoning them and using them. Just wanted to know what things I need to look out for. What are the main things that are bad about cast iron pieces that are made in China?

TIA!

Welcome the Forums! As for made in china, or another foreign country, the finish will more or less be rougher than vintage CI. Heavier too, and with casting flaws. Use them like you would a vintage set, they should still serve you well.

Nothing really bad about stuff made in China, only people’s preference, probably is not as pretty as a lodge but works as good as any other brand,
