Arc Logo Lodge #10

Found this in one of those consignment shops last week, thought I'd share the before and after pics. It wasn't in bad shape when I found it... I could at least see that it was a marked arc logo and it wasn't really covered in crud, smooth, flat, no pitting... but it cleaned up really well.. I tried to get some pics but I'm not sure how well they show but the cooking surface is like glass. Love the big old spouts on these old Lodges.

That's a thing of beauty! I almost paid big bucks on eBay for one of those the other day, but my wallet overruled my crazed brain.

I think the people selling it didn't realize how old it was or how good the condition was... the marked price was $25... I didn't even ask for a discount.

in regards to the cooking surface... you know how when you get done with the lye and electrolysis and you rub it down with some fine steel wool... like 00 or 000... you can kind of feel the little imperfections ... well when I rub the cooking surface of this pan I don't feel any resistance (except for that little spot over around 3:30)... its like I'm rubbing a block of ice...

I am a fan of the arc logo lodge pans/Dutch ovens. I think they are way under rated. that is a nice one,,,,,,,,,
