Have not been out that much within the last few weeks but I did come across a few pieces without searching that hard.

What is the one with the three raised ribs inside the heat ring? never seen one like that before. But then I'm new at this so what I don't know about CI would fill many books :icon_scratchchin:

In the collectors circle it is referred to as the "Mercedes Skillet". Per the BSR data … BSR was the only maker of CI that used capital letters (NO) for number and (IN) for inches on their CI so with that being said it indicates it is a BSR product. A similar looking skillet made by Wagner had that same design for a heat ring but it was on a chef's skillet. It can be found in the BB on P.235.

Wagner had some regular skillets with the "grid bottom", as it is also called. They were Teflon coated, produced during the period of Randall ownership.

I just saw one of those recently... except not teflon coated... it was obviously a wagner but it had that heat pattern on the bottom... it looked like a later wagner... 60's 70's... is there any 'collectible' value in those? other than being kind of unusual?
