Favorite Piqua Ware Skillet on Ebay

Bizarre. My records show I gave $22.44 for one just like it in 2011.

Edit: Maybe not just like. I think mine says Piqua and Ware vertically under the Favorite. Not sure where it is to look at.

Found it. Is different. $1160 different? Not sure.

I have a #9 with the Piqua Ware on the same line as well. It's my favorite large pan to cook in! It still had the rummage sale sticker on it when my dad gave it to me... $9.50. Knowing my dad he talked them down though:razz::p

Your cooking in a $1k pan! Thats great.

I guess so! I just looked a the picture on E-Bay and mine is exactly the same style in a #9. Wonder if the buyer is looking for a set:razz:

Mine does have more pitting on the bottom but a perfect interior.

I’m sure the guys that cast these collectible skillets never dreamed that they’d someday sell for more than they paid for their houses. 😁

That eBay listing prompted me to clean my skillet I found a few weeks ago. I was hoping for a near perfect skillet but unfortunately there's never a sure thing when cleaning these old pans. The outside looks great...no visible damage anywhere. When I cleaned the inside my heart sank after seeing the crack directly opposite the handle. Thought it was a knife mark of sorts when I first saw it because there was no visible crack on the outside of the pan. Magnifying glass tells me different as you can see from the highlighted area I marked on the photo.

That is still a beauty, if it fetches around half as much as the one on ebay, you're still doing good!

We don't even try to sale damaged CI so it will just end up being a wall hanger piece most likely.

Did you happen to see the Griswold slant #8 on eBay a while back that was turned into a “tabletop trivet” ? I don’t know. I thought it was a cool way of repurposing a damaged piece into more than just a wall hanger.
