Wagner Sidney O Tea Kettle

After e-tank cleaning. On FB two persons agree the top and bottom one disagrees.

Welcome to the forum Jimmy. Lots of good information and discussion to be found here. I don't know a lot about tea kettles, but I like the look of the one you have.

Can anyone tell me what I have here? Married pieces, original plated pieces, just a shiny gate kettle? Before and after pics

Jimmy....Appears from what I can see that your piece is a Wagner Ware, Sidney O.
Assuming you have a BB "Blue Book" turn to page 251. Description seems to be the same as the one pictured.

Circa 1900 Griswold made one very similar with Erie on the flat top and a similar knob to open the top. Wagner being a few months behind would not surprise me at all. Looks like a match to me as the spout design and the knob fit the time period. I believe gate marks on them went into the twentieth century.

From here the top looks like it fits. If it fits fairly well (Not necessarily a tight top fit) I'd say they were a match.
