What's with All These Markings on 3-notch?

Hi again! More questions...sorry!

This unmarked 3 notch has sooo many markings I was just wondering why so many and if anyone know the significance or perhaps this helps date the pan?

At 12:00 it looks like its says (vertically) 5 T 0 J 8. At the bottom at 6:00 (vertically) is says maybe a small "TN" or a "W" then X E and then an A slightly to the right of the vertical line and then an H. Also, I noticed that the notches are more like soft dents rather that the clear cuts in the ring I have seen in my other 3 notches. Does any of this have any kind of meaning?

I've got one of those... I've always wondered about all the extra markings too. this was in a pile of dirty skillets I bought at an auction and the heat ring is worn down (similar to yours) and it has all the extra markings top and bottom.

That all the odd marks are incised means they were in the pattern, not added to the sand mold at casting time.
