As long as you're careful not to scratch or break the cooktop. If the type that requires flush contact for proper even heating, a slightly warped pan may be a problem.

I've read to warm the pan up slowly and I just don't want to warp any pans... and let them cool down slowly as well... I didn't know if I posted this in the wrong area....
If concerned, pre-heat pans in the oven so they heat evenly. Or bring to temp incrementally on a burner. Warping is more often the result of placing a cool, empty pan on a high burner and forgetting about it. Cooling need be nothing more than letting the heated pan come to room temp on its own.
