Griswold LBL #8;chrome finish is mostly worn off, warped bottom, ugly!! I use it at least once a day and the cooking surface is darn near perfect.

Thanks for the quick response. I had not even considered seasoning any of the parts but that sounds like a good Idea. I plan on using mine to make link sausage and the seasoned surfaces...

Your pan appears to be older than mine. The bottom of my pan has the Nuydea logo and the part number....

I have that same Nuydea chicken fryer (#1236) but it has an aftermarket glass lid. Trade you my oldest son for that one:) The last time I looked, Doug D didn't have any good pictures of a Nuydea...

I'm too lazy to look it up but if you season them at at something above the smoking point of whatever oil you are using, you will have better results. I do my initial seasoning at 425 using canola...
