Re: E-tank vs. Vinegar bath?

I agree. It only took trying to get rust off one popover pan and one cornstick pan to convince me that I needed an e-tank. It's so much easier.

Re: Corn Pones - 7 Sticks

I solved the problem of a recipe of cornbread making too much to fit in a single corn stick pan by acquiring more gem pans.

Now I make any combination of cornsticks, cornbread circles, cornbread...

Enterprise cherry pitters

Does anyone know anything about sizing on vintage cranked cherry pitters? For the Enterprise Mfg. Co. out of Philadelphia, do the larger model numbers denote larger machines (i.e. able to handle...

Re: Favorite Utensils?

I have a couple Dexter-Russel spatulas, and they are awesome. The one I use most is the 4"x2.5" model (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CJNBTO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have...

OK folks, so I want to try electrolysis and need some advice. I went to Walmart and looked at chargers, and all the ones they have say "fully automatic". Are these completely useless for an electro...

Re: High-base vs low-base waffle irons

Ah, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if the paddles needed to be a certain distance from different heat sources. So a low base iron will still work fine with an electric stove, you just have to lift...

High-base vs low-base waffle irons

What are the advantages/disadvantages between the two types of waffle iron bases? I'd love to get one for weekly use, and have an electric coil stove.

Re: Gem/muffin pan

It actually looks a lot like this one, except the "No 10" is on the other end of the pan, the "o" is a little smaller than the "N", and I don't know yet if it has the 948 on the bottom under the...

Gem/muffin pan

Got this one today- I can't see any markings yet except the "No 10" on the underside of one of the handles, but it was pretty gunky. I've got in in a cleaner bath now. Any ideas on what it is?

Re: Another ID help?

Wow, thanks! I wasn't really expecting these to be recognizable, so that's great!

The #3 pan is marked "made in Korea" though, not Taiwan. But thanks on the possible date.

Re: Another ID help?

And the second pan is one I picked up at a thrift store. It's a Korean-made #3, marked "6 inch skillet" and "Made in Korea" on the underside, with a 3 on the underside of the handle. Pretty smooth...

I have two more cast iron pans that I would love to know anything about...

This one is a pan that a friend gave me a few months ago, my first cast iron pan. Any ideas what it is?

Help with Griswold/Wagner Ware ages (and values just for fun)

Hi, I was wondering if you gurus could confirm for me the ages and give a ballpark price you'd expect to pay for two skillets I picked up at a thrift store yesterday: a Wagner Ware #6, and a...
