Scuff it up and pack with slow setting original JB Weld. Smooth it out while still wet. Season over it after its set up, washed and dried.

The one in the picture looks like it will probably be gate marked, maker would be hard to figure out. Lodge made spiders with similar markings but slightly different shape.

Thanks for the input. Im hoping that it is real. The pictures I've found of the double ball socket style seem to be smoother cast. I have not found one this style that was real smooth.

I finished my Wapak Indian Head waffle iron today. It turned out pretty good. The wood handles didnt have ferrules so I added some.

I found this coal lid yesterday and cant find any info on it. Only markings is a 10 on the bottom. It measures 11 7/8 in across the sealing ring. I dont see any gating. The tabs around the sealing...
