Re: Erie 2nd Series #9 Star Makers Mark Restoration

from looking at the before pics of the #9 I wouldn't have thought that that line that runs downward from the R in Erie would have been visible after clean up... it must be deeper than it looks. ...

Re: Erie 2nd Series #9 Star Makers Mark Restoration

I believe the ability to grind or otherwise finish the inside of the pour spouts (or lips as they were called then) was something that evolved a bit over time... I think I've seen that it was a...

Re: Some Odd Raised Size Pans I Just Cleaned Up

Re: Erie 2nd Series #9 Star Makers Mark Restoration

the issues you have encountered so far are the reasons most people who clean a lot of pieces use the lye bath rather than the easy off/trash bag... the lye bath is easier, less messy, can do multiple...

Re: Erie 2nd Series #9 Star Makers Mark Restoration

that's a beauty that has made it 130 some odd years with no real damage... do no harm... collectors would pay 200+ for a pan in that condition, with the nice markings and pattern maker's mark.

Re: Please Help with Identifying Skillet.

I've seen several of the 'pointy handle' pans... almost always size 8... and with different symbols under the size... sometimes the \/, sometimes a dot, sometimes a line... no idea who made them...

and yes, the little gem pan used for size comparison...
