Re: 3qt Enameled Pot. Any Ideas?

It reminds me of a BS&R.I don't believe they made any enameled pieces though.

It may have been taken by the owner to get enameled from a local vendor.

Re: Help Identifying Camp Stove

I'm not sure, but the second lid might be a Griswold or remade from a Griswold pattern due to the cross pattern on the underside.

Doug, did Griswold make this design under its lid?

Bob, I...

Re: Sad, Sad, Sad...

It might crack more. I wouldn't chance it since it is on the surface. A side crack maybe. Handles and bottom, I feel, can be disastrous.

Re: Griswold #6 Dutch Oven

Two Iron Mountain pieces. That would have been a great weekend for me. I can't find them in Georgia.

I have a Griswold #7 slant logo DO #2603. Unfortunately, it's cracked. The smaller DO's appear...

Re: Gate Marked and Enameled ?

Be careful of eating out of old enameled pieces. Lead was used in the enamel of some manufacturers. You could probably do a lead test on it.

Re: One Month Ago...

Absolutely GREAT finds, especially those prices. The Pie Logo is probably the best of the bunch.

8 pans for under $35

The bug had bitten lol

Re: Deep Fish Fryer

I would not reuse the lye tank after cleaning that piece. I wouldn't trust the the gasoline and oil wouldn't contaminate other pieces.

Is there any documentation that would state otherwise?

Re: Copco Skillet

Great cooking surface. The only bad area is in the handle. Just make sure to season the bare iron on the handle.

Re: My First #9

My first and only #9 is a Goodwill find. A National pan. It was almost twice what you paid, but well worth it. It should clean up well.

It is an older pan from the heat ring.

Re: #4 Griswold Price Differences

D_Madden, thanks. The only one I found in my price range is the red enameled Griswold SBL. The enamel is in very good condition though. I didn't think it was a very valuable piece at the price and...

Re: Could Have,would Have,should Have

Keep 100 pieces, sell remainder at $10 each. 100 pieces for FREE!

At $5 a piece, it was worth it. You could have kept what you wanted and sold the rest for $5-10 each easily, granted that their...

Re: Odd Skillet Sizes

Will,

I have found 6's and 7's fairly easily in my area. I have not found a 2, 11, 13 or 14 that I was willing to pay what they wanted for it. 4's are very hard to come by at a good price also,...

Would it be hard for you to clean the aluminum? If you get more good CI, I'm not sure of the problem.

Re: Wagner #8 with Lid

How flat are your coils? My coils aren't flat on mine. One actually make most skillets spin as it's bowed upward on one side.

Re: Odd Deposits in Pan

The black spots are more than likely still carbon deposits. Another round of cleaning will hopefully get rid of them. Use a green scrubber and Dawn first before putting it back into a lye tank or...
