Re: This isnt plating of some kind, right?

Thanks for the reply Doug.

It's hard to see in the picture because I have an old 3G phone but it is pretty lightly colored, then has that darker ring about 2/3 the way up the top. I have seen...

This isnt plating of some kind, right?

I'm assuming this is just really lightly colored cast iron. Notice the two-toned interior. When I was cleaning it, it almost looked silver. Under this light it looks darker. Any thoughts on this...

Re: Need some ID help.

Make me an offer. I did plan on restoring it and putting it on eBay but if it is not against site policy to sell here, we could talk about it.

Just le me know.

Re: Need some ID help.

It does, but I'm not seeing some of the markings I think I should be David. That's what bothers me.

Need some ID help.

Hey gang, I could use some ID help on this one. I found a #12 today and I can't figure out what it is, other than maybe a pan produced by a smaller, regional foundry. The thing is, it looks like a...

Re: Sidney Script O dating question

Kinda what I was thinking, Doug. Thanks.

I had someone chime in to me and tell me that the script O griddle was only produced in the company's first year, but I wasn't sure how they would even...

Sidney Script O dating question

This is for anyone who might know, but I think I am going to have to get Doug to weigh in on this one.

I was told that the Sidney Script O logo from SHWC was only produced in the first year. I...

Re: Would this be rare???

I was pretty positive it was. Had never seen or heard of a cursive Sidney O by itself like that before.

They were asking $70 and I wanted it, but had already just picked up a #10 ERIE and couldn't...

Questions on plated pieces

Was reading the info section of the site but still wanted to post this for Doug, or another CI vet.

I was thinking about picking up a plated piece, but have never had one. I know that the info...

Re: CI Identity

I've run across a couple on ebay and no one seems to be able to tell me what they are. As Doug already mentioned, I'm just assuming it is the Michigan foundry.

Were there any unmarked Favs or Wapaks?

Was looking through the database for unmarked CI but didn't see anything mentioned for these two brands.

I picked up a Miami Diamond today along with what appears to be an unmarked pan that also...

Re: ID Help Please. #8 unknown

Yeah, I was kind of thinking it was a copy. If you could see close up, you can tell that the cast (while light in comparison to many) is sub-standard, in my opinion. It's not a great cast. The...
