Re: Way to ruin my first ever cornbread!

Have you thought about spraying it down and bagging it outside and then putting the bag with the skillet in it in a container with tight fitting lid (like a Rubber Maid container) and bringing it...

Re: Any ideas on this one?

This #11 Vollrath just popped up in my newsfeed as up for auction. Look at that reinforcement rib. It's short. It looks the similar to me if not identical.

Re: unmarked wagner?

Yes, that's what I've seen called an unmarked Wagner before at an antique shop. The handle certainly looks Wagner to me. I know with their older skillets they didn't put the number on top of the...

Re: Need help to ID this one

If you could take a few more pictures of the handle where it meets the pan that'd probably help. :)

Re: unmarked wagner?

I think I've seen examples of what you're talking about. Do you have any pictures?

Re: Any ideas on this one?

Yes, I'd picked up on that convention, buts it's interesting to me that in the same paragraph they say "unmarked" and then they say some were "marked" with a number. Particularly if there are some...

Re: Any ideas on this one?

On page 241, second paragraph, of the RB it almost makes it sound like there were a lot of pieces made that were unmarked on the bottom. That only the lids were marked. It goes on to talk about how...

Re: Any ideas on this one?

Okay, so ID of this skillet has been driving me crazy. Lol. I think I may have figured it out though. I heavily leaning toward unmarked Vollrath.

At first I wasn't sure because the reinforcement...

Re: Any ideas on this one?

Thanks guys! It felt good in my hand when I picked it up and that's the main reason I bought it. I assumed just by seeing the 10 it'd be a really old Wagner. It was really coated from years of use...

Any ideas on this one?

I know it's a long, shot but any idea what this might be? The only mark is the 10 on the handle and what might be a period after it. The period could also be a flaw too? Thanks!

Re: Wagner skillet that used to be chrome plated.

Thanks for answering another one of my questions. I didn't know that about Wagner and nickel so thanks for the education too. :)

Re: C I Chicken pot pie? Yes please.

That sounds good! I find myself asking whether or not a recipe I usually make can be made in CI and if so I just go ahead and try it. I made "easy" chicken pot pie last night that's topped with...

Wagner skillet that used to be chrome plated.

I picked up a #6 for $5 that was rusty but the cooking surface looked smooth. After I cleaned it up there was a line of chrome plating that was covered in grime/dirt that I couldn't see. Most of the...

Re: Corn stick pan ID

Okay, so there are no marks at all on the one and only 27S 26 on the other, no made in USA. I feel like I always find the odd ball stuff.

Wagner Wafer Iron

Okay, so I picked this up today for $16. I looked it up in the blue book and the catalog number should be 1451 instead of 1450. It has a drain hole like the earlier model as described in the book...

Re: Corn stick pan ID

Yeah, that's why I was so confused. I picked them up thinking they were bsr, based on the handles, but when I got home and looked it up the markings were all wrong. I'll take more pictures when I get...

Re: Corn stick pan ID

The one says 27S 26. I can't find any markings on the other one. They're soaking in lye now. It's not very dirty but maybe I'll find a number under there when it's cleaned up? Were the BSRs ever...

Re: Hello from Oklahoma

I'm finding that's the case with people. One person told me she'd soaked the pan to get the food out of it. I remained calm on the outside but I wasn't calm on the inside. :o I wanted to say just...
