3 notch Lodges made after the switch to automation will be a thicker casting and thus heavier. If weight is a concern, the older ones will be a bit lighter.

BSR is hard to beat for users,...

The Lodge is from before 1960 because it lacks a MADE IN USA mark.

I see what you mean about the pour spouts Doug. I wouldn't say they're "too big". Maybe more like the radius of the pour spouts is too narrow? I've always thought of old obviously-Lodge pieces as...

Looks a lot like early Lodge. Something about the hanging hole seems a bit off to me for Lodge, but maybe it's just the picture.

Yeah definitely not the Glascock. I think it's either an unmarked Martin or a copy that some unknown foundry made from an existing Martin, the latter being more likely. I don't have a marked #8...
