Re: SBL with Incised Number

Not completely sure. Was using the BB info on P.13 that said the early handle had a heat ring. May be misleading and the photo shown was a pan w/ a heat ring but not true of all. Anyway...I was...

Picked up a SBL #8 with early handle last week and after cleaning noticed a number 25 incised on the underside of the handle where it meets the pan wall. First time I've seen this type marking and...

Re: Itís Been a Long Time - 66 Days

Nice finds. The wire handle appears to me like it originally had a wooden piece that has probably rotted/burnt off over time. I see this type of bent wire on tea kettles sometimes. Just a guess.

Re: Next Step Advice Please

Re: Cleaning/seasoning These Waffle Iron Paddles

No secret....Just use a long bristle wire brush and remove as much grime/rust as possible. Attached is a photo of one I just seasoned a few weeks back. Once clean use a soft bristle tooth brush to...

Griswold Rabbit

For years I've been restoring CI but this rabbit has been the most challenging piece of CI that I've had to make presentable. Took me several days and hours of wire brushing to get it back to new...

The Martin was from a different dealer. It had lots of rust, not the pitting type, but will require more time for cleaning. Probably will post them later on.
