Re: Griswold #14 Bailed Handle Skillet

No apologies necessary. Was just getting ready to say for a bailed #14 Griswold the $999 price would be a bargain. I was VERY lucky to walk away with the one I found and it was more than $999 lol.

Griswold #14 Bailed Handle Skillet

Was just wondering if anyone can verify if the Bailed #14 Griswold Skillet had a cover (lid) and if so did it just have the single "lid lip" at the 12 o'clock pour spout position? The BB doesn't...

Re: Best Find of My New Two Month Old Passion

The lid is Wagner apx. 1950's and it's also a Dutch Oven lid and not a skillet lid. Lid value about $40.
The large logo Griswold #9 around $50 depending on where you test the waters.
eBayer's ask...

Re: Magnalite Cast Aluminum

Was just wondering if Magnalite manufactured their Oval Roaster (4265P) that wasn't marked on the bottom as we traditionally see? I have looked thru my books and can not find any reference that did...

Re: Magnalite Cast Aluminum

Actually you can follow Doug's information here on CIC for the steps in cleaning and polishing the Aluminum pieces. Sometimes I short-cut some of the steps as prescribed and use 0000 steel wool along...

Re: Wagner Waffle Iron Handles

Really have no idea what the cost would be. Surely there is a shop in the Atlanta area that does custom woodwork. Might even check with the local schools to see if the shop classes does anything of...

Re: Wagner Waffle Iron Handles

We've talked about advertising handles in the past but this is not a buy/sell forum. It has been pointed out before that round stock from your local hardware/box stores carry them in several O.D....

Thanks Doug. I know that the Griswold (BB) designates the finish on a lot of their wooden handles where as there was no mention of such when you look in the Wagner sections.
Appreciate your speedy...

Wagner Waffle Iron Handles

Can't find any confirmation regarding the finish of Wagner's waffle iron handles. I've had to repair one handle on the one I'm restoring and due to the type of repair I had to do it would have shown...

Thanks. Didn't mean to mislead anyone. I'm sure I can recover the $10 I paid for it. Got plenty of WW Dutch Oven lids so no issue with that aspect.

Re: Pocasset No. 10 8 Gallon

Don't have a lot of research data "books" but what few I do have would indicate your piece was probably made between 1860-1880 based entirely on the pot ears. Pocasset Iron Works made a lot of tea...

Yep. It's a BSR red mountain (older style) but its a very good pan. Clean it and use it. You won't be sorry.
Should have added: Per the MODEMAC web site they were probably produced in the late...
