I remember seeing the earlier post...
this one is definitely side/end gated... the only grind marks are on the end of the handles at each end.

and yes, the little gem pan used for size comparison...

there were a few different hinged double skillet sets... griswold made a couple different ones, wagner also.. the lodge 4in1 is kind of the same thing, although the top lid/skillet is more shallow...

these are shown in the blue book under the Favorite section... but they made three sizes of these honeycomb shaped gem pans... the handled one with the '7' on the handle, a 10 and a 13 cup gem pan...

also.. .make sure you read up on the cleaning for the enamel pieces... don't just throw this one in the lye bath, lye can etch or dull the enamel on the inside of the lid.

what you really need is an ozark/crescent dutch oven to go with your chicken fryer... I could trade you for the 2, but it's so small and dirty you'd have to kick in a little cash to make the trade...

that #2 is really gunked up... and too small to be of any practical use...I'll come and get it from you and give you another pan that you can actually use to cook in... what a complete waste of...

electrolysis for sure for the rust... but even after electrolysis I typically rub the item down with steel wool (usually a couple different grades, coarse to fine)... and these pans are hard to do...

yeah, if you look at ebay sold prices and even prices on some of the facebook groups... it has a lot going for it... single spout, gate marked and marked on the bottom and in good condition......

it was there... one was hanging on a wall in a hallway.. .the other was in one of the rooms... someone probably moved it... but it was still there when I went back and it was 40% off......

the book showed one that looked like this one, but indicated that it was not marked... but it showed the other two piece style and indicated that it was marked... just wondered where mine fit in,...
