Re: “Wagner” Sidney O.

Don't use asking price to judge value. Much better to use eBay sold prices to indicate current value. A quick look shows that these are going for $100–120 on the bay now. You got a very nice deal!

Re: Almost had a heart attack

Season with mineral oil and put on display? Wouldn't suggest putting it to regular use. If you want to use it for baking, season with canola at 350 for an hour. I'd still argue against. Repeated heat...

Brownies Courtesy 1890

Made brownies tonight in the old Grizzly Bears. I wonder how long it has been since either has had something cooked in them...

Re: Mysterious #10 Skillet--anyone Recognize This Maker?

Link (http://www.wag-society.org/1883%20Selden%20&%20Griswold%20Catalog%20Flyer.pdf) to 1883 Selden and G. catalogue clearly calling their "skillet" a "skillet"—not a spider. I think 1883 happened...

Re: RIP Beloved SOS Tuffy Scrubber

Been using Scrub Daddy for about a year. Use a Lodge scraper to remove bulk junk then the Daddy for final cleaning. Works very well even with a caramelized mess stuck in the pan.

Re: BS&R or Lodge

If you can't take the 30 seconds necessary to resize pictures so they don't ruin the forum experience for other users then how do you expect to obtain an answer to your question. Furthermore, if you...

Re: I've Acquired a Grail!!!

Thanks! I "discovered" a new technique with this pan that I had never tried before. I've always used bamboo skewers to scrape out carbon after electrolysis in corners and lettering, but this time...

Re: I've Acquired a Grail!!!

I can't really describe how amazing this pan is. It's SO delicate. I've tried to capture the handles in the below pictures, but it's hard. The skewer in one picture is a bamboo skewer just to give a...

I've Acquired a Grail!!!

Before the pictures, a little about why this piece is so important in my collection. My collection has focused on "unmarked" Griswold pieces—that is, pieces manufactured by Griswold in Erie, PA, but...

Re: What’s the Going Price

That's a good deal. I don't have any real desire to have that pan (sold one in the past), but I keep an eye out for it in the $15 range.

Re: Legit Red Mountain... Finally!

0At the same store I found a 2 qt RM saucepan. I've really wanted one of these for years and never found one at a reasonable cost. I got mine for 10 bucks, sans lid. I figured I'd be years looking...

Legit Red Mountain... Finally!

I really like the "real" BSR Red Mountain pans. Unfortunately, finding them has turned out to be more difficult than I would have expected given that later BSR seem to be lying around everywhere. To...

Re: #9 Griswold Unmarked Griddle?
