I have a newer one, Lodge I think and it was a real pain to clean.
It was rust covered and only cost $3 but I do not know if I would ever buy another if it had rust.

The Lodge plastic scrapers seem to work the best for me to remove most/all left in the pan.
After that a dishcloth to clean the rest.

I picked up a #10 One Notch Lodge with matching Lid for $30 in October 2019 with a very good cooking surface so it might be a little hard to top that this year.

If you have a Exhaust fan just turn it on once in a while.
You have a lid so that will keep it safe from Pets.

Had it in Lye for 2 weeks but the Temperature was only 40 were it sat.

I'm on the road right now but it will go in the Lye tank as soon as we get home.
I still can't believe that I got the pan and lit for $10.

BSR #8 with Lid

After I got the Turks Head pan the Guy said he Dutch Oven.
Well it was a BSR Skillet with a matching Lid.
He said it was $12 so I offered him $10 and he said OK.

They have some surface rust so...

Yes I'm very happy with the pan.
This is my first Pan with a Lid, and I was looking for a lighter #10 for Home use.

I also have 2 BSR USA #10 in the trunk to take home which will go to my Nephew...

I was able to pick up the #10 for $30, very happy.
The pan is very flat as tested on the Glass Table Top where we are staying.
I can not find any flaws in the casting,just some marks in surface of...
