Re: Help Identifying Moms Hinged Fry Pan

With the description of circles on the top it sounds like one of the several variations of a Wagner double skillet .

Re: Age of Unmarked Wagners

It has always been my understanding that the skillets with the inch size on the bottom were made after the buyout so it would be much later than 1939.

Re: Need Help Identifying This Pot\lid.

This is the top to the double skillet set that has the deep bottom skillet. The set marked 5 Star Skillet is a regular depth bottom skillet with a shallow skillet for a lid.

Re: Help Matching Lid to Skillet/DO

It's hard to say without pics but since it has ears and the hourglass mark it sounds like a lid for an early unmarked deep skillet/chicken fryer. They are easily identified by the smaller hole in the...

Re: Griswold 203 & Bean Pots

I've redone several of these and use regulators scavenged off scrap gas grills. If your stove has been setting a while it is best to disassemble the gas pipe and controls and thoroughly clean them of...

Re: Either Extremely Rare Griswold Cone Pan or Fake

Judging by the pictures I would say it's the real deal. It's not unusual for Griswold bread/gem pans to have rough edges on the openings. What are the pans dimensions?

Re: Help Identifying Camp Stove

The small crudely cast bail attachment holes identifies your camp oven as an Asian made piece. The other is believed to be a Wagner made Merit lid.

Re: Are These Plated?

The #5 and 10 are definitely not plated. Not sure what's up with the #4 but it doesn't really look sandblasted either.

Re: Restored Waffle Irons with Photos Show & Tell

I think I've posted pics of my waffle irons on this site before but apparently not in this thread so here they are.

Some high bases including a heart and star, low base square and #9....

Re: Marietta Pieces - Lids

I don't recall but probably just wiped with mineral oil also or seasoned at lower temp with Crisco.

Re: Gunk After Cornbread

Are the skillets flat on the bottom or do they have an outward warp where the excess oil might pool?

If I remember correctly I cleaned mine with fume free oven cleaner which doesn't contain lye.

Re: Which Griswold D.O. Goes with This #9 Lid?

Top of page 64. It doesn't show underside of lid but that is the correct oven.

Re: Which Griswold D.O. Goes with This #9 Lid?

Your lid is for an ERIE dutch oven like pictured here.

Their are two different styles of ERIE ovens. The earliest has more of a squared off corner where the sidewall...

Re: Today’s Find

The skillet your looking for will have an outside heat ring and a sideways 8 on the bottom with no other markings.

Re: #4 Skillets

Not sure if you were including the Iron Mountain #4 when mentioning Griswold but that one is pretty tough to find. The only other one I can think of you didn't mention is the Wapak Indian.💵

Re: Today’s Find

Skillet lid since it has ears for the pour sprouts. Originally came on a #8 deep skillet.

Re: Lodge 14 CO

I believe the deep #14's are the only ones still available new and the shallow #14's have been discontinued and are the ones bringing the higher prices.

Re: My First Gatemarked Antique is Cracked and Needs Cleaning.
