does it also show up on the inside of the skillet? As Doug mentioned a crack in just that location would be unusual. It looks like a great skillet and should be very usable :)

If the warp causing the spin is big enough it can cause liquids to pool/flow unevenly creating issues during cooking.

I would think it is Carbon Steel cookware, often times there will be small makers or country of origin marks on the handle somewhere.

above the big 6 is an "s" and above that is UA TH additionally to left of the "U" is a "6". The bottom is actually an "F or E" next to the 1.

Lodge Multiple Pattern Markings
I know many makers used multiple marks to separate molds, patterns, shifts ect.. However this is the most markings I have seen in one spot on one pan, can anyone help me understand what they mean?
