Re: Victor and Staub

Great finds! My Goodwill finds have dried up. I'm glad they are still available for others. I would love to find a Victor skillet.

I picked up a Vienna Roll Pan, 2 rolls. It measures 11 5/8 x 7. It looked very similar to the Lodge 2FB (#16), but without any markings. Did Lodge make one unmarked? Sorry, no photos. It's in the lye...

Re: Indoor Lye Tank?

I placed my lye tank inside a bigger plastic tub. I don't smell anything this way. I do smell the lye when I take the top off of the first tub though.

Re: Indoor Lye Tank?

I've heard of people using fish tank heaters in cold rooms. Do you have power in your shed?

Re: Made In Holland

SeanD, I have about 7 pieces of DRU. I love the tulips painted on them. I'm looking for a white one as I have blue, green and yellow.

Enameled is very versatile.

Dru Holland. They made pieces in blue, green, yellow and I've heard white. I don't remember the dates right now. Also, the colors were made at different times from what I remember.

I'll try to...

Re: Pam for Seasoning

I wouldn't recommend it for initial seasonings because of the ingredients in it, silicone for one. Use Crisco or a 100% natural oil for your initial seasoning. I have used Pam for seasoning corn pone...

Re: What is This?

That looks great. What is Heat and Clean? I've used Carbon Kleen, but only on cast aluminum and enameled surfaces.

Re: As Found... Griswold Handle Griddle #9....

CDLaine, do you have any pictures after cleaning? I have a #9 Griswold slant logo griddle, and it is great except for sulphur pitting on the bottom. Griddles usually clean up very easily.

Re: Hello from Beautiful N. Idaho

Hello Gary. You should not have to use electric tools for cast iron, definitely not vintage pieces. It removes the collectable value of the pieces.

I look forward to seeing pictures.

Re: Wagner Waffle Iron Handles

MDFraley, thanks. I'll check some trade schools. I just didn't want to over pay by not knowing. I've done that with buying some CI pieces when I started. I think we all may have done that.
