Wagner Lard Spade Before and After

I'd initially been calling this a Lard Ladle but looking the the Red Book Page 98 but I see is a Lard Spade.

Before and after pictures. Doug, thanks for the helpful instructions on the aluminum...

Re: I've been told this is a BSR

I've had this skillet both with and without the reinforcement pad on the outer skillet wall below the handle. I seen them with handles that look both like Lodge and like BSR and more recently saw...

Griswold Aluminum Hammered 3 Quart Sauce Pan A2143 and Lid A2143C

I sure seem to be coming across some nice aluminum pieces. Found this today although I haven't bought. Thinking about it though. Heck of a price on it. Physically it looks great although it could use...

Re: Griswold Griswold Aluminum Maslin Kettle 8 Quart A-458

Apparently, yes, A458C. At least that's what's listed as the cover for it in the list of Griswold pattern numbers in the Red Book. Don't know if they were sold together or if it was bought...

Re: Griswold No. 11 950 Variation 5?

Hard to tell in the pictures and it's in the lye tank right now. I'll pull it out later. If not, would that be a 4 or a 6?

Re: Griswold No. 11 950 Variation 5?

Gotcha.

Do you agree that this is Variation 5?

Griswold Griswold Aluminum Maslin Kettle 8 Quart A-458

Went back an got it since it was quite inexpensive. NOT the same as the one on Red Book page 155. Is this as uncommon? It will likely be years before I find an A458C lid for it.

Came with a...

Griswold No. 11 950 Variation 5?

Pretty sure this is Variation 5 in the Yellow Book. Is this right? If so, I'm as pleased as Doug D. (I think it was Doug) was a few months ago. Should clean up pretty quickly....

Re: Early Wagner #3 Oval Roaster

Just looked up on the Bureau of Labor Statistics website what $4.50 from 1915 is in terms of buying power in 2014. At $105.63, these were not inexpensive!

Re: Early Wagner #3 Oval Roaster

Thanks, Steve. So it's an oval casserole, rather than an oval roaster. Good to know. Explains the lack of self-basting lid.

I'd love to see a line up of these showing the different handles and...

Re: Early Wagner #3 Oval Roaster

Would this likely have been sold new with a trivet and if so, what should I be looking for?

Re: Really unusual items...Help!

I forget which, RB or BB, but one of them says something like 1970-1975 which fits with Steve's recollection.

Re: Training Wheel ID with Stick Pan

N.E.S. French Roll pans are virtually everywhere here in New England. I nearly always see them. Even some interesting ones.

That's good to know, Steve, since you seem to have seen the vast majority of pieces.

Early Wagner #3 Oval Roaster

Couldn't pass this up even though I have been shying away from aluminum. In particular, I think Doug D. will likely be interested in it. There are no examples that I saw in the RB or BB. Has anyone...

Re: Magnalite Round Roaster Restoration

Well then, I guess I should go buy the Magnalite sauce pans that have been languishing at one of my favorite antique malls in similar condition at $10 each.

Re: WWSO Smooth Bottom Size, not catalog number

Thanks, Doug. As encrusted as it was, I couldn't make out any markings on it but I was pretty sure it was going to either be a marked or unmarked Wagner. It seemed thinner and lighter than any of the...

Re: WWSO Smooth Bottom Size, not catalog number

Thanks, Steve and Doug, that's helpful. I did see the #2 in the Blue Book but not the #3. I don't see any eBay solds on the #3 and I didn't see it in either book.

WWSO Smooth Bottom Size, not catalog number

Don't know much these show up. Would my guess of 1930-1935 be about right?...

Re: Barstow Stove Gem Pan...with wire handles

That seems logical, Steve.

Looking at the bottom and at the well formed shapes, I'd guess factory but have no idea.

Has anyone seen handles like this on a gem pan? They are steel.
