I agree.....Crisco for the initial seasoning, after stripping it....then bacon grease or Crisco will be fine. I use bacon grease on the ones I use a lot, due to the greas might become rancid.

I was just wondering, why do ALL Wapaks have casting flaws? I know they used molds from Griswold and others probably, but why did they all turn out with the flaws? Trust me, I LOVE all Wapaks, mainly...
