Re: Why I Love Wapaks....
I have lodge because I am a user more than a collector, and lodge is readily available in my area. With that said I do like my Griswold DO because it lightweight, and it didn't cost me anything...

Re: Induction Cooktop and Cast Iron
According to the Lodge website you can use CI on an induction stove top.

With that said I don't have a induction stove so I have never tried it.

Re: Three Notch with No Markings
Don't toss it. My suggestion finish cleaning and seasoning it then pass it on as a wedding gift. Just because it isn't a collectable doesn't mean that it isn't a good user.

Re: Collecting Vs Using
I have a crusty rusted and pitted kettle that I doubt will ever get used, or even restored. I also have a monster sized skillet #20 that won't even fit on my stove top or in my oven that I have...

Re: Chainmail Scrubbing Pad
The little scrub pad I have works great for many things. I love it for cleaning my turkey fryer, and for stubborn stuck on food that gets on my SS cookware. I just don't want to risk damaging the...

Re: Chainmail Scrubbing Pad
I have a stainless steel scrub pad that I sometimes use on other things, but I have never used it on my CI. For the CI I normally just use a paper towel, or a scrub brush when needed.

Re: New Lodge Bundt Pan
I would suggest that you brush it will oil before you use it the next few uses. It takes some time to get that good nonstick coating built up.

Re: Thanksgiving Get Together
I am planning to cooking in my Griswold DO on Thanksgiving and taking it for a 1 mile trip. I guess I could use my Lodge combo cooker, but I want to show it off a little.

Re: Cooking with a Hinged-double Skillet???
Andy, I bought a 10" Lodge Combo cooker a few months back I have found it to be a very hand piece of cookware that I can use several different ways. It has pretty much replaced my other CI cookware...

I am jealous of that deal. I love my Grsiwold DO, and I have a pot roast in it right now. It should be done in about 45 min. YUM.

Re: Lodge acquiring Finex
I have no interest in buying so called high end cast iron cookwear. The quality that lodge puts out is great. It gives a good sturdy non stick surface, and the pans are thick enough to retain heat...

Re: New Lodge Blacklock Line
I care more about function than looks. The regular line works great. I have never had a problem with sticking. The 12 inch skillet, and 10 inch griddle portion of my combo cooker is pretty heavy,...
