I put my oils in after heating. i have found preheating with oil causes sticky spots as the oils start to polymerize.

Actually, once the waffle has cooked/raised, a fork should be sufficient to open it.

If it was over an open eye, you would just push down on the side opposite the hinge and it rotates. I had to...

I got both of them. They are both in excellent shape. Also the base is number 975. I'm still out I'll post pictures when I get home

Got this today in a thrift store. 3 weeks ago it was 22.50. Today it was 10 bucks. I forgot it was even there until i saw it again.
