Dixie Spider

While in a thrift store, I found a 13" spider w/lid made at the Dixie Foundry in Cleveland, Tennessee. I spent several days working on it, & it's in very good shape with no major issues.
There are gate marks on both pieces. I've been able to find very little info other than a couple of old listings on ebay for some ridiculous prices.
Any help with info (rarity, history, etc.) would be appreciated. Also, any assistance with value would be great.

wow! that cleaned up nicely! Amazing to find the spider and the lid together.

(is the pan marked on the bottom, or not?)

No idea on value... but Steve Stephens has a group on facebook (bottom gatemarked cast iron cookware)... that is a fairly active group... and being focused on gate marked stuff... that's where I would go for age and value info.

(it's a 'closed' group, meaning you have to request to be a member to be able to post... but anyone can 'join' and be a part of the group.)
