European Cast Iron
I will add pictures soon, but I picked up two cast iron pots that I believe are European.
One has "24.BF.4L" marked on it. This pot is smaller than the other and has a marker's mark on the bottom which is about as small as a dime, but hard to see. I have another that is larger. It has a bossed marker's mark on the side with a "28 / 7.5 L" that is in bossed script as well. The marker's mark on the larger one looks like a shield with either two letters or a flower. I am having a very hard time finding ways to identify these pans. The walls are thinner than vintage Lodge, and the cast items were finished smooth. |

Sorry, the pictures of the two pots are mixed up.
They are sturdy. The larger pot has a heavy bottom, and in both there was some pitting. They ring clear so I know the pieces do not have cracks. What I wonder is where they were made, and how old they are. The one with larger handles, the smaller pot, feels light for its size. |
Re: European Cast Iron
I think its an Import piece....due to the ML. and such.....but European is imported too, so I have no clue actually.

Re: European Cast Iron
Maybe it's Canadian.
