Odd Cast Iron Skillet

Hi, note this odd cast iron skillet, it looks as though it was broken from the mold it has sharp edges i have never seen anything like it before anyone else have?

Perhaps a recast with unintended mold flashing that was too thick to break off. Seeing the bottom would help (as would a bit larger photos).
