Griddle

I have been wanting to get one of the popular Blackstone griddles here lately for the patio but the wife finally just said what can you do with it that you canít do with one of your CI skillets on the regular grill? Got me there!

Shes right/wrong. You can do anything in a skillet that a griddle would do. On the other hand, a long griddle has more area to cook more food, so Its good for that.

A Griddle is healthier because the food does not sit in the grease.

The healthier thing is really more of a myth but man does that bring me back to my old burger flippin' and short order days a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

That much workspace is like an artist's canvas. So much potential.

The wife asks, "what can you do with it that you can’t do with one of your CI skillets on the regular grill?"

You reply, "well, let's get one and I'll show you..."

If you've already got a gas grill, Camp Chef makes various sized griddle/flat tops that'll go on it. A buddy has one for his gas grill----he loves it. Much less expensive than the Blackstone. Might be something you can check out and seems like it'll be a good compromise for you and the wife.
