Got to Use My Cook Stove

Finally got to use my cook stove this weekend. Make pork chops and Mac and cheese on Saturday then chicken Alfredo on Sunday. The kids are absolutely mind blown that this is how dinner used to happen. I will have to get the firebox and ash door inserts re porcelain coated. The high temp paint didn’t hold up. It is starting to burn. Oh well I just wasn’t looking to spend $100 to get them done, but I guess I’ll have to.

That's awesome! I would love to have a wood cook stove one of these days. I've been looking at some of the new ones, as they are very efficient - but I wouldn't mind having an older one either!

My Grandmother used to have a stove similar to this one.....oh the memories! Very cool!
