Sidney Water Kettle
Found a Sidney Hollow ware #8 "tea Kettle" In an antique shop for sale this weekend. The wanted $70 for it. I couldn't find any obvious damage to it. $70 seemed a little steep for something just to display. How common are the Sidney ones. I see china ones all of the time. This is the first one I can recall seeing. Any help or words of encouragement or discouragement appreciated

Re: Sidney Water Kettle
I would think that 70 is a fair price, but I may be wrong? I have a Wagner tea kettle, my wife used to use it to make actual tea. I like it.

Re: Sidney Water Kettle
IMO save the $70 for something priced less. I see these kettles all the time at flea markets for around $20 (not necessarily a Sidney) and they are usually extremely corroded or have a hole in them. Since you're just going to use as a display save your bucks for an authentic/rare piece of usable C.I.
